One former draft pick of the Cleveland Browns could soon be moving onto a different team.
Jordan Elliott is said to be heading in the direction of testing free agency, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland Dot Com.
Elliott was a third-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Missouri. In the last two seasons, he’s started 31 games for the Browns.
“Elliott, the Browns third-round pick in 2020, is poised to hit the market and see what’s available. Elliott, who started 14 games in 2023 and 17 in 2022, didn’t grade out well last season, ranking 120th among eligible defensive tackles with a 47.3 grade, according to Pro Football Focus.” - Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Dot Com
In 2023, Elliott posted a career-high 2.5 sacks. He has shown flashes of being a nice interior pass rusher but the lapses in the run game have often been glaring. Overall, Elliott has appeared in 66 games with the team and has 98 tackles to five sacks in his career.
Cleveland will have to make decisions on impending free agents Maurice Hurst and Shelby Harris too, who the team has interest in bringing back, according to the same report from Mary Kay.
Free agency will provide the clear word, but the former third-rounder Elliott could be heading toward a new home.
