The Las Vegas Raiders need to get their quarterback of the future if they want to take that next step and become a consistent playoff team and then a team that can compete for a Super Bowl win. Luckily for them, they could have a shot at doing that in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Well, we knew that before, but after a recent report, it's even more apparent they could get their QB. The convo as of late has been about the Raiders taking one of those tier two quarterbacks at either pick No. 13 or in the second round. Now, the convo could change once again.
According to the general manager of the Arizona Cardinals, Monti Ossenfort, who sits at pick No. 4 in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cardinals are opening to trading the pick. Now, it just so happens that the Raiders could be interested and aggressive in trading up.
"There will be a big neon sign that says 'open.' I don't like it blinking; it messes with my eyes, but we're always going to be listening," Ossenfort said.

At No. 4, the #AZCardinals GM Monti Ossenfort is open for business on a potential trade. https://t.co/B65mNRhVNqhttps://t.co/B65mNRhVNq
That leaves the door open for the Raiders to try and go get their future quarterback. The only thing keeping them from doing that is that the first three picks of the draft could be the three best quarterbacks. If it looks like the New England Patriots are not going to take a QB at Pick No. 3, which I don't know why they wouldn't, then the Raiders should try and get pick No. 4.
The closer we get to the draft, the more things will start to unravel.
