Welcome to the latest UFC results from Ringside Intel. This week, we bring you UFC 299 live from Miami, Florida and the Kaseya Center. In the main event, Sean O’Malley defends his bantamweight championship for the first time against Marlon Vera.
O’Malley and Vera will be a rematch of a 2020 meeting between the two at UFC 252. That night, Vera was declared the winner after O’Malley suffered an ankle injury and could no longer continue.
Along with the bantamweight championship match, the co-main event will see former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier take on Benoit Saint Denis. The bout is scheduled for five rounds between the two top contenders.
Kevin Holland welcomes former Bellator contender Michael Page to the UFC in a welterweight affair, while fellow 170 pounders Gilbert Burns and Jack Della Maddalena are also on the docket. Rounding out the main card will be ex-champion Petr Yan and Song Yadong.
The prelims include Curtis Blaydes vs. Jailton Almeida in the heavyweight division along with Katlyn Cerminara taking on Maycee Barber at women’s flyweight. Former UFC champion Rafael dos Anjos greets Mateusz Gamrot at lightweight while Pedro Munhoz and Kyler Phillips battle at bantamweight.
In the early prelims, light heavyweights Ion Cutelaba and Philipe Lins meet. Middleweights Michel Pereira and Michal Oleksiejczuk are set to square off along with flyweights C.J. Vergara and Assu Almabayev and Joanne Wood vs. Maryna Moroz at women’s flyweight.
The main event airs live on ESPN+ pay-per-view with prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
